Better care, together
Mind in Motion is a multicultural psychotherapy group built on collaboration and trust.
For over five years, we’ve partnered with healthcare providers, universities, and advocacy groups to ensure that clients receive the right combination of therapy, medication, and community support.
We currently collaborate with partners including NYU, CUNY, Pratt, Orenda Psychiatry, NY Indian Council, and others – helping hundreds of clients each year access integrated, high-quality mental health care.

We're looking forward to collaborate with:
Partnering with university counseling centers allows us to support students and young adults navigating challenges in academic and personal growth by providing additional resources and specialized therapy options.
We seek to collaborate with psychiatrists primarily to refer clients who require psychiatric evaluation or specialized care for addiction cases, ensuring these individuals receive the comprehensive treatment they need.
Since Mind in Motion does not provide couples therapy, we work closely with couple’s therapists to refer clients in need of relationship-focused counseling to trusted professionals.
We often get approached by parents seeking therapy for their children, we’d love to coordinate with child and teen psychologists to tailor interventions that meet developmental needs and family dynamics.
We’d like to partner with physicians to provide integrative care for patients with unexplained somatic symptoms (e.g., hypertension, heart conditions, GI issues), for those navigating life-changing diagnoses, amputation, loss and bereavement, chronic pain, etc.

What information do you need from us to process a referral?
We ask for basic client demographics, contact details, a brief reason for referral, and any key information that will help us understand the client’s needs (such as language preferences or relevant psychosocial context). It is essential that the client has consented to the referral and to being contacted by us. If you have clinical notes or additional background relevant to their care, sharing these can help us ensure continuity and quality of service.
Is there a waitlist? How quickly can the client be seen?
At Mind in Motion, we strive to minimize wait times so clients can access the support they need quickly. Availability depends on demand and therapist schedules, but we aim to initiate contact with referred clients promptly after receiving a referral. In some cases, there may be a short waitlist; if this happens, we keep clients informed and do our best to prioritize urgent cases. Throughout the process, we maintain open communication and offer flexible options to support clients promptly, whether through in-person or virtual sessions.
