  • Cassandra is a mental health counselor who works with individuals, couples, and children. After years of developing skills in relationship building with the use of trust and empathy in the working field she realized how much of an asset she can be in the counseling profession. She then pursued her M.S.Ed in Mental Health Counseling at Long Island University. Her therapeutic career began at Elmhurst Hospital in the Child and Adolescent inpatient unit, where she gained experience working with children and adolescents suffering from psychological disabilities.

    Cassandra believes in providing mental health access to all individuals of different genders, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. As a first generation immigrant from Guyana, Cassandra has a passion to provide counseling to individuals from backgrounds where mental health is largely overlooked and/or misunderstood. She enjoys providing individuals with a safe and healing place to work through any difficulties they may face in life. She also provides support to bring couples and families together through the use of therapeutic modalities to help them have healthier bonds and relationships.
