Professional Biography
Specializes in Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Grief and Loss, relationship and family related challenges
Soyeon is a bilingual Korean psychotherapist who provides virtual therapy to adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship challenges, trauma-related concerns, and the emotional stress that often accompanies periods of transition. She has extensive experience supporting clients through major life changes, including the transition into adulthood, career shifts, divorce, retirement, and questions related to identity, autonomy, and purpose.
She works with adults of all identities and brings a culturally responsive, relational, and thoughtful lens to her practice. She is particularly attuned to the experiences of immigrant clients and those navigating cultural, familial, and intergenerational expectations, as well as the tensions that can arise between personal needs and long-held roles or responsibilities. Soyeon strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported.
Orientation/clinical interests/specialties
Soyeon understands that emotional distress does not happen in isolation. Anxiety, depression, grief, trauma-related concerns, ADHD, and relationship difficulties often intersect with life transitions, family dynamics, cultural identity, and the roles people carry over time. Whether a client feels stuck in painful patterns, overwhelmed by change or loss, or disconnected from themselves and others, therapy can offer space for greater clarity, healing, and self-understanding.
Her clinical approach is individually tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and lived experience. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy to support both immediate coping and deeper insight. She helps clients build practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and navigating daily challenges, while also exploring the underlying patterns that shape how they think, feel, and relate to others.
Soyeon values a therapy process that is both reflective and practical, with the goal of helping clients feel more grounded, resilient, and connected to themselves.
Personal Interests
Outside of her professional work, Soyeon enjoys reading, watching TV shows, exercising, trying different foods, and spending time with her dog and family. She finds comfort and joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments.

with Soyeon Cho

Our therapists may have a waitlist of 1-3 months before ongoing weekly sessions can begin, but we understand how important it is to feel heard and supported as you start therapy. To help you take the first step, we offer first Full session or a Free 10-minute video call, so called “chemistry check”, as soon as possible. This gives you the space to connect with the therapist, reflect on whether the relationship feels like the right fit, and decide—at your own pace—whether to wait for an available spot. We believe therapy is a deliberate process, and this time of decision-making is an essential part of it.
We’re in-network with the following insurance providers: Aetna, Cigna, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, CDPHP.
