Orientation / Clinical Interests / Specialties

Wonhyung understands that the birth of a child brings a wide range of emotions and changes—not just for the individual, but for the entire family. From trying to conceive, to pregnancy and birth to adjusting to life with a newborn and navigating the ups and downs of parenting, these are moments that can feel isolating, exhausting, joyful, rewarding, and everything in between.

In her work, Wonhyung draws from attachment theory, human development, and intergenerational perspectives, integrating evidence-based practices that are grounded in empathy and cultural humility. She creates a space where clients feel seen and respected, and works collaboratively to explore challenges, identify strengths, and support healing and growth—at any stage of the journey.

    Personal Interests

Wonhyung enjoys a good cup of coffee or a tea latte in a cozy ambiance. A treasure for her is finding small calm moments of thinking, reading, journaling, or holding meaningful conversations over those drinks. She also cherishes well-curated used bookstores and thrift shops, where each visit feels like a real treasure hunt in a neighborly environment.

Our therapists may have a waitlist of 1-3 months before ongoing weekly sessions can begin, but we understand how important it is to feel heard and supported as you start therapy. To help you take the first step, we offer first Full session or a Free 10-minute video call, so called “chemistry check”, as soon as possible. This gives you the space to connect with the therapist, reflect on whether the relationship feels like the right fit, and decide—at your own pace—whether to wait for an available spot. We believe therapy is a deliberate process, and this time of decision-making is an essential part of it.

We’re in-network with the following insurance providers: Aetna, Cigna, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, CDPHP.
